Communities are increasingly addressing the issue of broadening their housing base to increase housing opportunities for more of its residents, expand its economic base and respond to governmental requirements. A sound housing program should be incorporated into the fabric of community character and the comprehensive plan, and should be accessible to transit, shopping and services.
